The JORS – Jovem Orquestra Richard Strauss is a Portuguese youth orchestra for musicians aged 16 to 23, with talent, dedication, and a passion for classical music.
Inspired by the artistic vision of Richard Strauss, JORS offers a unique educational experience through an intensive summer course, featuring demanding rehearsals and high-level artistic performances.
During the program, young musicians have the opportunity to develop both technical and expressive skills, working closely with experienced conductors and teachers. The repertoire includes classical and contemporary works, fostering learning, creativity, and teamwork in a true orchestral environment.
The mission of JORS is to promote young musical talent in Portugal, training outstanding performers and contributing to the country’s cultural enrichment.
